I enjoyed all the performances, especially Brian as Minton. He is indeed a man obsessed. You never know how far he will go with anything!

Rushing through to say Hi to Monique!

Another fun episode! The ladies of Middle Ditch are trailblazing the return of the local railway. With the price of oil continuing to rise, they may well be on to something viable in a few years time. I suspect that Minton is well aware of the possible financial gain!

Funny. While I can picture the aptly named Sir Randy as duplicitous, it surprises me that he would try and pull off something on this level...that is, without Lady Anabel's help. Of course, it seems as though he has help elsewhere.

Lots of good story lines here, including the framing of Drake, the consequences of Sarah's past deeds, and Susan's continuing family saga. It would seem that she needed Barabara there after all.

Also good to hear a bit more about the background of Minton and Lady A's relationship.

He is pretty obsessed Charles. Money means more to him that anything else, even lady Annabel it seems. Poor fool indeed.

Hi jim, it's good to see you and lovely to know that your wife enjoyed the episode.

Good to see you to Rick. I thought that you never would come back but here you are.

Thank you all for visiting and commenting. They always make my day.

Marilyn, it is about time I visit you again. Yes it is a fun way to begin the weekend. Randy is in good form as always.

Better luck next time Reader Wil. It happens to all of us from time to time. Very frustrating, I know, but it can't be helped.

Hi Jed, good to see you. Yes, the performances are great. The cast is fantastic. Without them this could never happen and as you are one of the cast members, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your availability and hard work.

Thank you all for visiting and listening to those quirky tales of village life.

Hi Tom, good to see you. I know how busy you are.

Oh, I suspect Minton is fully aware David and yes the railway could be well on its way thanks to the ladies of Middle Ditch.

Thank you for your attentive listening X.Dell. Yes, Minton has several irons in the fire. The problem is that one day he might get burnt with all his grasping! There are indeed several developing and continuing story lines and more to come in the next episodes!!!

Thank you all for commenting.

Oh yes. I am so familiar with money-oriented families. Even if Canadian, they are very controlling and somehow British,as if they were in the colonies instead of being born in the former colonies...Especially Churchmen. Shades of Jane Austen and Pride and Prejudice.
"You must pre-heat my dinner plates to at least 11O degrees." :)

And, darts anybody?

Sarah sounded hot with her hospital visit. Wanted to straggle Minton, but I guess that was the point. GREAT EPISODE!!!!

Efficient NHS? Well it is free.

I was hit by a bottle in Manchester and had my nose (straightening) and teeth (crowns) both done there for free.

They both had to be redone when I came back here to BC.

I was told both were a mess.

'Randolph Minton M.P.'

Not someone I would have confidence paying taxes to.:)

I love Randy's hemming and hawing - beautiful! I agree with Charles - it's half pity half disgust for Randy.

Ivan you do make me laugh with your droll and dry humour. It's Canada day today, isn't it?

And, yes please, darts any time (ironically)

Devin, we are all doing very well, thank you. Going strong with this wonderful cast as always and I'm glad this episode could cheer you up.

Sarah IS hot Beach Bum, and always searching for a new man. Mind you, any man in her clutches will end up in a sorry state indeed. The last one she'd had was killed by her husband. Oh dear.

And who doesn't want to strangle Minton? My guess is that even Lady Annabel might eventually.

thekingpin, what a sorry tale but I must say I'm not surprised. It seems that nowadays dentists are out to get as much money as they can, like everybody else.

Satire and Theologist, I couldn't agree more

Benji, Brian is excellent in doing the humming and hawing. It wasn't written as this in the script. He just went along and it came out great. I pity good old Randy.

Good to see you Pink. Indeed, still at it.

Thanks Fizz, I'll be over to your blog as soon as I have some spare time.

i quiet morning .. unusual for the foam household ..
a cup of coffee and an episode of middle ditch.
it can't get better!

i love listening to all the characters, esp. the randy character. i think if i had to deal with a character like that in real life i would go nuts!
wait! i do know a few people like that ..lol..

Middle Ditch said...

Foam, quiet mornings are rare at the moment in our household too. We are selling and moving house so no more nice silent days.

I think that everyone has a character like that in their social circle. We do! And guess who! Randy himself!

Thanks Foam, you are one of those loyal visitors Middle Ditch cannot go without.

Risque hospital stay for Sarah and another glance into Randy's obnoxious side. Well done.
