That was too short. I was enjoying that. I'm going to listen to it again. I have to laugh! I almost said I have to watch that again. Good one!

Hi there; I'm saving this for the weekend!

Another good episode. Very funny.

Middle Ditch said...

I have just listened to it myself Jim and I'm impressed by Sorani's performance.

I hope to hear from you again soon, tut-tut.

The sudden appearance of Anna will shock many villagers in the episodes to come Aggie.

Thank you all for listening and commenting.

jed said...

Yes, Sorani is a great addition to the cast.

Good episode. 'The man had done his job' indeed!

Looking forward to the next episode.

Middle Ditch said...

Thanks Jed.

An entertaining episode. Happy Easter.

Nessa said...

There are so many dead people, but not nearly enough for me. Keep knockin' 'em dead.

Great performance.

Middle Ditch said...

Dabrah thanks and happy Easter wishes to you too.

Nessa, let me count the dead people ... Bill, even though it's a long time ago ... Councillor Cassidy of course ... John ... Erm ... Emma? All we know is that she has disappeared ... Yes we need more!

Thank you both for visiting and commenting.

Do you know beforehand what's going to happen? How many episodes do you plan together? Do you have a rough sketch ready of the whole story?
Many questions, aren't there?
I wish you all a very happy Easter. Thanks Monique for the visit, yes Good Friday and Bach are inseparable, at least for me.

Janice Thomson said...

Ha! Funny one - and now have to wait to see what the heck happened to Susan...as well as anything else you might have planned :)

Devin said...

Wonderful episode-as always!! It is so nice to have a great laugh -sending love and hugs to all of you from Arizona!!

The pig farmer! *grin*

Armagnac. A woman after my own heart.

Leigh Russell said...

Never altogether predictable, always entertaining. Thanks, Monique. That cheered me up. (I'm feeling rather low as Amazon.uk aren't displaying my book, although they claim it's on their website. It isn't! It's on amazon.com and online at Waterstones, Borders, WH Smiths (all the usual free delivery + reduced price) but doesn't exist on amazon.uk.)

Another wonderful, and fun episode..I enjoy it!

Happy Easter!

Middle Ditch said...

Hi Wil, I am the only one in the knowhow as what is to happen. Having said that, the whole cast is usually involved in future story lines. And having said that, I frequently have to look at my characters and story list to exactly remember which story is still unresolved because, as many of you know, Middle Ditch often weaves from one story line to another.

Also as some of the cast have enormous distances to travel I'm always aiming at getting that particular person in several episodes which we then record in one day.

And yes, I do have a rough sketch of developing stories.

Thanks for visiting and commenting. Have a great Easter.

Middle Ditch said...

Ah, Janice, soon we will know what happened to Susan. This will be revealed in the next episode. So far 43 episodes written so, yes a lot is going to happen in this little Dorset village.

Devin, the saga continues.

Michelle, I could not imagine Annabel drinking anything but Armagnac. She is a lady of exquisite taste.

Middle Ditch said...

Leigh, cheer up. Better some publicity then none. I'm glad this episode at least made you feel better.

Thanks, BC Doan, it's great to see you and thanks for listening.

A happy Easter everyone.

Leigh Russell said...

Had to scurry over from mine and thank you for your support, Monique. I really appreciate it. It sometimes feels as though the world is run by faceless nameless bureaucrats and gremlins (which it is) and a little human consideration makes all the difference. Thank you so much. I really hope you can make it to my book signing in Bath. It would be wonderful to meet you there!

Chris Benjamin said...

yikes, hope susan's okay.

love the line: "the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie."

great acting as always.

Middle Ditch said...

Leigh, you're welcome and I will try. It would be great to meet up.

Fizz, I sincerely hope that you stay with us. Maybe just take a break.

Hi Ben, great to see you. I personally like that line too. And as to what is going to happen to Susan? Well, come back in three weeks time and all will be revealed. Promise.

Thank you all for commenting.

Happy Easter.

fizzycat said...

Thanks Monique for your kind comments. Long live Middleditch.

That was a quick one but sometimes you must be efficient in the story telling and leave the audience begging for more. I love to do this as you know. I was a bit out of it today so this made me laugh and put me in better spirits.

And Sorani did a wonderful job.

sparringK9 said...

happy easter to you MD!

Miss Pidgin said...

It was good to see you in my new site
And you keep doing your talk show...that is hard work ;)

Middle Ditch said...

Thanks Fizz, long live Middle Ditch indeed.

Hey Ricardo, Anna's return to the village is going to be fun. Who knows what will happen next (well, I do)? I don't know if you remember, but Anna used to be a sweetheart (albeit a short one) of Drake, so will they get it together again?

Happy Easter and thanks for commenting.

Middle Ditch said...

K9, happy Easter to you. Thanks for visiting.

Miss Pidgin, great to see you here. Yes the work can be hard but most importantly, it is a lot of fun. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, it is always greatly appreciated. Happy Easter.

David Caddy said...

Annabel and Minton are beginning to sound like a married couple! They have a way to go though!

Happy Easter!

Thanks David, happy Easter

risen from the dead indeed .. lol ..
i'd be in complete shock!

Leigh Russell said...

Still laughing about your rendez vous with a mysterious stranger, Monique! Cheered me up in my battle against the faceless corporation...

Middle Ditch said...

Foam, you have been missed here. I think the person who will be shocked mostly will be Drake. We'll find out.

Leigh, I'm still getting over the shock.

Thank you for visiting and a happy Easter Monday.

Heff said...

I like the accents.

Middle Ditch said...

Thanks Heff, I hope you'll be back to listen to some more.

darkfoam said...

i usually wait till i'll not get interupted when i listen to episodes.

Rick said...

Do you never run out of entertaining and witty dialogue?! Wonderfully crafted and delightful to listen to. Taking a break from training and just had to stop by in between bruises!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter holiday.

Middle Ditch said...

Hey Foam, I couldn't agree more. I also need peace and quiet to listen to the episodes.

Rick, fab to see you here again. I'll never tire from writing for Middle Ditch. Take care of your bruises.

Thank you both for visiting and commenting. Always greatly appreciated.

fizzycat said...

Yes think a lot of the recue owls are obtained from macho types who don't know what to do with them. My goodness that poor cat, I would be furious if that happened.
I was watching a time team special the other day. Someone said exclaiming at something 'stone me' I thought of Middle Ditch instantly.

Marilyn Brant said...

Enjoyable and humorous as ever--well done! Hope your Easter holidays were good, too :).

Middle Ditch said...

Fizz, you made me smile when I read the time team comment.

Marilyn, I'm glad you enjoyed this episode. The Easter holidays were lovely.

Thank you both for visiting.

Iriz said...

hi there Middle Ditch!
this is one of a kind, not the usual blog i visit! very artistic, I enjoyed listening!

i'll be back for more! ;)

Middle Ditch said...

Hey Iriz, welcome to the quirky tales of village life. I'm glad that you are enjoying this. See you soon again I hope.

Helene said...

Fun but I agree it was a bit short(I was ready for more I mean!). I just dont know how you can keep coming up with fresh ideas all the time! Kudos to you all!

Middle Ditch said...

Helene, sometimes less is more. :-D

Coming up with fresh ideas is, at times, a little tricky. I just keep listening to conversations and I keep my eyes open for unusual sights all the time, then I store that information in my mind and use it when I think it's appropriate.

Thanks for commenting and keep those photographs coming.

Anne Lyken-Garner said...

Yikes! All that drama. I can understand the need for the G and T. Randy is his usual foot-in-mouth self, and my! poor Annabel. Don't tell me, the boys never got the daily letters. Someone was hiding them all this time.

This is very short, but enjoyable and exciting as usual.

BernardL said...

Very good episode. :)

Middle Ditch said...

Hi Anne, great to see you again. Yes indeed, poor Lady Annabel, such a shock to see Anna, somebody she thought long dead, alive and well. And yes, the daily letters were, of course, hidden by Bill.

BernardL, thank you for the compliment. Anna's, return will, of course, have some complications.

Thank you both for visiting and commenting. Always greatly appreciated.

Lynda Lehmann said...

Fascinating and well done! It could become addicting....

Middle Ditch said...

Hi Lynda, I sincerely hope so!

I'm glad you like this and I hope to see you in the next episode when the quirky tales of village life continues.

Thanks for visiting and leaving such an encouraging comment.

Charles Gramlich said...

I did miss this episode. Not sure how. I really liked Randy's little add ons, insertions, comments. Hilarious. I have no idea what is about to happen next, though

Monique said...

Charles I'm glad that you made it. Thanks for commenting. Hope to see you in the next episode.

Chris Benjamin said...

Must be hard at work on the next episode over here eh?

Monique said...

Hi Ben, the next episode is written, recorded and edited and should be on in a little over a week time.

eek, I'm so many episodes behind. This was a funny one.

Middle Ditch said...

PBS, thank YOU for listening! It's good to see you.

KB, you have been missed. Glad to see you.

My question is this... Now that Anna has returned from the "dead", how soon before Bill does the same?
Take care and have a great weekend.
Lisa

Monique said...

Hi Lisa, well, you never know. It may happen yet. In one of the coming episodes some characters do think that Bill is coming back.

Have a great weekend too and thanks for listening and commenting

I like the recent visitors map

X. Dell said...

(1) Hmm. I'm thinking about what it would be like were Cassidy to come back to the dead.

(2) You know, I have this picture in my mind's eye regarding what Drake looks like. Considering what we now know of his history, I would guess that he's a better looking character than I thought--or, at least, he was.

(3) Love the introduction of the new character.

Middle Ditch said...

Hi Leigh, I like it too. It's a fantastic way of finding out who has been visiting.

X. Dell,

(1) No chance. He was eaten up by Drake's pigs unfortunately. Unless, of course, he has an identical twin pretending to be Cassidy the councillor (note to oneself, worth considering).

(2) I'm not sure what to say because I know what the actor looks like and I must admit Drake does resemble him a little. From a previous episode, I believe it was At The Exhibition, we learn that he is a big lump (or something like that).

(3) It was great to find Sorani. She is a tremendous addition to the cast.

X. Dell said...

The big lump impression is what I had in mind. But then too, his looks probably went south with age.

Middle Ditch said...

Actually X. Dell, I think that you and Drake will get on like a house on fire. His looks going south with age. I like that.

Thanks for visiting and commenting, always greatly appreciated.

Linda S. Socha said...

Yes Too short...I was getting into it !. Loved this one. Well done

Middle Ditch said...

Thanks for visiting
