Great episode! I also thought the sound effect was very interesting!

Excellent! Love the sound effects! I find myself listening with interest wondering with interest. It's funny but I really like listening and not seeing but using my imagination.

Hi Devin, thanks for commenting. When we were rehearsing this episode, and David's line about Anna's fine legs came up, Jeremy just said "Thank you Howard", which produced great laughs and we kept it in with that reply.

BC Doan, Helen and David did, as per usual, a great job with the sound effects. Thank you for visiting.

Hey Jim, I am re-discovering listening too. And enjoying it. As you say, using my imagination. It's great seeing you again.

very busy lately...

I like very much the sound effect, great job.

I think that Drake's memories of Anna are slowly coming back to him and wonder where they will lead.

This episode was a lot of fun!

Ruela, great to see you. I'm not at all surprised that you are busy. I'll be at your place soon to see more of your wonderful art.

Hi Jed, we'll see in future episodes how Drake will react to Anna's re-appearance. At the moment he is in shock.

Thank you both for commenting.

Again an interesting episode! Thanks for sharing! Thanks for your comment about Koninginnedag. The young man who drove the car, died and his parents are in shock. They are very sad that their son had done this. He must have been devastated. A lonely man, always polite and kind to his neighbours, and nobody knew him.

love the old school farmer's observations. so addictive with the cliffhangers is this. and the characters are always enjoyable.

Middle Ditch said...

Reader Wil, a very sad happening indeed. Thanks for visiting.

Thanks Ben. It's also very enjoyable to write the episodes. And yes, something terrible has happened. We will learn what it is in the next episode.

Anna!Anna!!!

Another wonderful episode. Thank you again for the wonderful and funny distraction. I always look forward to these.

That Drake is really dedicated to his pigs. You gotta love that in a man.

I'm on pins and needles about the bad news.

I think I look forward to your sound effects! lol They are always good. I also really like David Caddy's voice... its sorta raspy and somewhat familiar to me... like an actor on TV or something...

Another good episode!

Middle Ditch said...

I'll await your return Fizz.

Ricardo, thanks for the compliment. It's great to know that you enjoy these.

Nessa, Drake absolutely adores his pigs. He couldn't live without them. The bad news will be revealed in the next episode.

Hey Lisa, thanks for the visit.

Helene, David and Helen always do a very good job with the sound effects and David's voice? Well, he's not a professional actor but a poet who gives loads of readings. Maybe you have heard him on a radio station. Who knows!

Thank you all for commenting.

Like your ending in cliff-hangers in these last few episodes - keeps one coming back for more. :)

This episode had me really hungry. I wondered for a moment how Middle Ditch would grow locally produced mangoes for the chutney - but never mind :-)

It also reminded me about living in Cork, Ireland. You'd have to be living there for at least a hundred years to not be seen as a foreigner (or outsider) anymore.

Another lovely addition to the family of episodes, everyone. I really like the authentic accents.
Best
Anne

Middle Ditch said...

Thanks David.

Hi Janice, they are the hardest, cliffhangers I mean. Once I've got that, the story follows.

Thank you both for commenting.

Middle Ditch said...

Hey Anne, it's good to see you. The locally grown and home-made chutney is made from green tomatoes. It was quite fun to think of local speciality food. We hadn't done this before apart from Drake's famous ham of course.

There seem to be few villages now which has not been invaded by city dwellers buying up cottages for a second (or even third) home in the countryside and driving the locals away, but there are still some and one of those, being in the middle of the sticks, is Middle Ditch.

I'm glad that you enjoy the local accent. Thank you for visiting and commenting.

Today is the first anniversary of Paul Hart's death.

We remember him with joy and gratitude.

Onwards!

David, we will always remember him. He was central to Middle Ditch.

Very entertaining dialogue.

I'm starting to get the Idea of how this blog works, lol.

Middle Ditch said...

Hi Foam, good to see you again. We record on garageband and use sound effects stored on our computer.

Thanks BernardL. I'm pleased that you enjoyed this episode.

Hi Heff, it is a radio serial. To listen from the beginning just find episode one.

Great escape from the rollercoaster of my life right now. Middle Ditch gets better and better. I don't know how you sustain it so well, but you absolutely do.
See you on my blog soon, I hope. Nearly time for my Virtual Book Launch. Just as well. I could do with a drink!

Middle Ditch said...

Hey Leigh, thanks for the compliment. It's the ending I always search for and then, usually, the rest falls into place. So many story lines still to unravel. Like, where is Sir John? How is Sarah? What was that great news Anna had for the village? And many more.

Thanks for the visit and commenting. I can never get enough of those.

Miss Pidgin said...

and the fancy one is back..Moooohahahaha...in return and listen to the sound it's great. :)

Middle Ditch said...

Miss Pidgin, yes, she is back. Anna has returned to Middle Ditch and poor Drake had the shock of his life. What will he do? Reconnect?

Thanks for visiting and commenting.
