Good. I particularly found the opening funny.

Ah, Farmer Drake is discovering the wonders of the Internet and the Inspector is slowly catching up with his detective work.

I enjoyed this episode!

The Inspector is soon going to put 2 and 2 together and it won't be 3 he comes up with :) Another great episode!

Very good. I wish you posted more often! This is only the second episode I've listened to. I must take the time to listen to the entire thing!

Charles, thank you. I too enjoy the opening.

Ah, David. Inspector Jim is working on the disappearance of councillor Cassidy alright. When will he find the truth? His mobile distracts his attention each time he should get a clue.

Janice, will he put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4? We'll find out eventually.

Lisa, thanks for visiting. You should indeed go back to episode one to follow the story. Thanks for your visit.

Hmm. I wonder why Drake doesn't want anyone to speak his real name. Whatever he's hiding, the older generations seems to be in on it, including the inspector. So it obviously isn't much of a secret.

Nice to hear the reference to Alan.

He Middle Ditch,
I don't know what I am supposed to look at, so I think I should listen to the song? Or not? So I di.....I like James Blunt, this song is great, I also like Robbie Williams and Dutch ANOUK and Madonna she's great too.

Thanks for commenting, yes??? Are the roofs (like on my blog) also seen in Italy?

Heeeh I noticed that you live in the UK, where is a good place/town area to visit your countrie? we have seen London already but like to see else, from UK...

ANNA-LYS said...

Hi dear MD,

This old computer doesn't allow me listening, but I can say "hello" can't I? Hello!!! :-D

Middle Ditch said...

X Dell, you wonder why Drake doesn't want anybody to know about his real surname? Don't you see the connection??

Hi Joann, a nice place to visit in England? There are so many beautiful places. Try Kent, it's still called the garden of England.

Anna-Lys, it's great to see you again. Hello!

Alright that was neat. I have never listened to a podcast before. It is uplifting, and shows the possible power we all have with this thing called a web!
Thanks,

Hi Monique

Is it possible to upload the audio files? My computer won't play the audio anymore. I want to copy them to my mp3 player?

Greetings: Dick

So, have we a pig in stilettos or is Drake a transvestite?

Ruela said...

hello Monique ;)

Middle Ditch said...

Oh yes Foam, farmer Drake has discovered the internet alright.

AHB, I'm glad that you like this.

Dick, you are more than welcome to upload and copy them.

CJ, I realize from your comment that you haven't listened to all the episodes. No. no pigs in high heels and no, Drake is not a transvestite

Hello my dear Ruela.

OK I finally did get around to listening to a full episode. Very impressive.

Middle Ditch said...

SJ, how funny is that? You were here as I was at your place.

Dick said...

Yes I understand but "HOW" can I do that?

Leigh Russell said...

Tres amusant, as always. It just gets better.

J. Andrew Lockhart said...

I wish I could be there and watch you work on these. :)
they're so interesting!!

Monique said...

Dick, I'll answer on your blog.

Leigh, thank you.

J Andrew Lockhart, it is tremendous fun recording the episodes.

It must be so much fun to write these episodes and then record them. As well as alot of hard work too, no doubt. I enjoyed this one.

David Caddy said...

Hi Aggie,

They are great fun to write and record. Monique does a great job. We all enjoy getting together, rehearsing and recording and then going to the village pub for a meal and a chat about future story lines. The cast is growing and the episodes getting a little longer as well. Thank you so much for listening and commenting.

its good how you can keep thinking of the different episodes.

i would have writers block lol

good for you :)

fizzycat said...

Hmm lots to think about, hilarious beginning.
About the rain , yes it has been relentless this year, sorry the cats are so glum. Hopefully September will be warmer.

Chris Benjamin said...

Bertus?!

Middle Ditch seems like an eventful place to live. Perhaps a bit *too* eventful for my liking, but it's fun to listen to.

Icy BC said...

I really enjoy the opening too.

Monique said...

With lots of help Tina, I couldn't do this on my own.

Fizz, thanks for visiting and, with the sun out a bit more, the cats are a lot happier.

Benji, Middle Ditch is like any other village in Dorset. You'd be surprised to know what happens in such tiny places when you keep your ears open.

It's good to see you here again Icy.

fizzycat said...

Thanks for the slug pellet tip.

Monique said...

You're very welcome Fizz

Reader Wil said...

I really enjoy listening to farmer Drake and the inspector. It would be nice indeed to post more often! It's too long to wait for three weeks to find out what's happening!

Monique said...

Hi Reader wil, thanks for the visit. I would love to post more often but alas, this would mean many more recording sessions in a year. Not to mention more episodes written in quick succession.

Having a job means having not that much time or energy.

At the moment I am still the main writer with my husband throwing in an episode or two at regular intervals. Still, it's great fun though.

David Caddy said...

Hi Reader Wil,

I am fairly confident that we should be able to put a new episode online every three weeks. Perhaps when we have more writers we can produce more episodes more quickly. For now we have a good steady flow of writing, recording, editing and putting online.

I am forever behind on your stories but most grateful for your comments on my site. One of these days I will get caught up. Alas, not next week; I'm off on a photo shoot to Maine.

I just love porn and not research, lol!

Monique said...

Hi Ted and s e e quine,

thank you both for visiting.

Reader Wil said...

Thanks for the visit! and your answers! I don't like red ants either! I am looking forward to reading your new episode.

Middle Ditch said...

Thank you reader wil, it's always a pleasure to see your blog.

jmsjoin said...

Very interesting!
I am glad you got curious because I wouldn't have known about this. Interesting and definitely unique!

Middle Ditch said...

Patriot, that was quick! Thanks for passing by.

jmsjoin said...

It is Labor Day and I was outside. Didn't mean to be quick just concise! I liked that it figures Tom found you! Take care and have a nice day!

Middle Ditch said...

Patriot, with quick I meant that I had only just been to see you, not that you passed quickly by.

Yes, I am missing Tom. He used to be a regular listener.

Have a lovely Labor Day, it's something we don't have, but then again, we have bank holidays.

Dick said...

Thank you for your mail, I'm sorry I asked how to upload the files but I ment how to download them. If I want to have an mp3 from the internet I can download it to my computer and that is what I want to do with Middle Ditch. I guess it's not possible.

jmsjoin said...

middle ditch
I got you! I knew what you meant! Tom and I are like minded but he is so more laid back than I am. I love it! It figures he was a regular listener and will be again. I will let him know you were asking for him!
Thank you it is a gorgeous day by anyones standard. I am sure your bank day has a different meaning than if we had one. You have a nice day and take care!

Monique said...

Dick, I shall have a word with my brand new son in law. He is quite a computer genius and maybe he knows the answer.

Monique said...

Hi Patriot, I hope that you had a good day.

Bank holidays are usually mondays when the banks are closed. This doesn't mean that everybody is off though. There are still plenty of people working on that day.

Anyway, it's great to know you and I shall ad you to my links so that we can stay in touch.

jmsjoin said...

Monique
Hi and thanks! A bank Holiday in its concept sounds odd! Here at least they are closed every Sunday and National Holiday so that sounds weird! You have quite a crew over there. Do you all inhabit that site? I will have to run this by Tom! Take care,

Monique said...

Hi Patriot, I answered your question on your blog.

I'm back at work tomorrow and will have less time, but I will try to keep in touch.

jmsjoin said...

Thank you Monique
Yes, I answered you! You have a lot on your plate so do not feel you have to respond or do so right away. Have fun all of you ditchers!

dabrah said...

I enjoyed that. I've been out of touch for a couple of weeks, so I need to do some catching up.

Unknown said...

They can't hide from our good inspector much longer. Poor Burtus.

Monique said...

Hey Patriot, I have added you to my links.

Dabrah, blogland has been very quiet. Most people were away. Thanks for visiting.

Ricardo, Poor Bertus indeed. If only Jim's phone would stop vibrating at the crucial moments he would much sooner catch up.

David Caddy said...

I enjoyed listening to this episode again!

MRMacrum said...

And now that some of it appears to be coming full circle, it isn't. Quite a web you are weaving here Monique.

Monique said...

MrMacrum, so far you are the only one who has cottoned on as to what is actually going on. Perhaps this is because you are listening to several episodes in one go instead of listening to just the one, each three weeks.

Devin said...

I really really enjoyed this one-i actually have all of them,Burtus-Brutus hehe. Best to all of you and thanks for the smiles and laughs!

Middle Ditch said...

Devin, like MrMacrum you have cottoned on as to what is going on. I think it's a good way to listen to several episodes and not wait too long. This way the story lines stay fresh in the mind.
